RARE Swiss Target Crossbow for William Tell Schuetzen matches

This is a Swiss Crossbow that was used for the William Tell Weathervane Targets and target matches. This was competition shooting during the late 1860s-1880s. This was very popular like the Schuetzen matches of that period. The stock is patterned after the Model 1869 Vetterli rife. The cross bow is complete and comes with one original steel tipped target bolt having a value well over $350 by itself. The cross bow is in very good condition and no damage to the wood. The iron/steel bow and fittings retain about 80% original finish but only 35-40% original blue. It is mechanically very good functional condition. The overall length is 27 inches and the bow measures 23.5 inches tip to tip. This is definitely a rare and unusual item. It comes with 5 new made broad head steel tip bolts and one new made cocking lever that really works well. It is fashioned after the original style.
