Theadore Grey 10 Gauge Percussion Shotgun, Pittsburgh_RARE
Damascus browned barrels nicely engraved, huge bore on this bad boy
The lock is marked J. Lancashire and the barrel rib is marked Theodore Gray, Pittsburgh. This is a very well made and heavy American made 10 gauge percussion double barreled shotgun. It has Damascus browned barrels and nicely engraved hammers, locks, top and bottom tangs including the trigger guard and patch box. Both engraved hammers have a dog-face. The walnut ramrod has a very nice augur tip and the butt stock and for end are both nicely checkered. The barrels are not damaged and retain 70% brown. The rest of the metal is either blue or case colors. The 30” barrels have nice bores with only a small amount of frosting and the muzzles measure .809” diameter. LOP is 14” to the front trigger and has a hefty weight of 11 lbs 2 oz. This is a very high quality and is considerably more than a utility grade shotgun. I think this was a British maker and American retailer.
