London Pistol Co. Ten Stop, Pocket Model Revolver
Mechanical function is very good with 100% cylinder scene
The London Pistol Co. purchased the equipment of Colts London factory in 1857 and began production of arms. They went out of business in 1862. This is a quality made revolver. It has Dec. 27, 1859 Patent date on the bottom of the frame and the barrel top is marked London Pistol Company. The quality and engraving is exactly like a Manhattan Series l Pocket Model with 10 cylinder stops and is a 5 shot. The cylinder has a stagecoach robbery scene like that of the Colt pocket model. This is a 5” barrel, with serial number 551 and is all matching including the wedge. The bore is very good bright and shinny and the mechanical function is very good crisp and tight as can be. It retains 100% cylinder scene and the loading-lever, hammer and trigger show case colors. The rest of the revolver is in the white. With 10 cylinder stops the revolver is locked when it is between cylinders. These may or may not be an infringement copy on Manhattan or if they were made for another Company to resell.
