This is a Colt 1861 36 caliber Navy revolver and is all matching numbers except the wedge. The mechanical function is near excellent and the bore is very good bright and shinny with strong rifling and only a tiny bit of frosting. It still has the original safety pins on the cylinder rear. There is about 80% original finish of which 30% blue remains and the balance a plum color. The cylinder has over 90% scene and the grips retain 85% varnish. The bottom of the butt shows dings and dents and the left toe has a small chip missing. The frame retains over 30% dark case colors. All of the nipples are very good. The serial number is 11323 and was made in 1863. This is not military marked revolver but soldiers privately purchased many Colts during the Civil War.
