This is a Reichsrevolver Model 1883 Officer’s Model with checkered grips. This one was made by Shul consortium of V.C.S. & C.G.H. It retains 50% blue with the balance a plum color. It is all matching numbers, 701 with very good mechanical function, crisp and tight action. The bore is excellent, bright and shinny with strong rifling. The Officer’s revolver was a private purchase and did not have Unit Markings. My understanding is that 44 S&W Russian is about the same as 10.55 mm, so 44 S&W Russian brass could be used to reload black powder equivalent ammo for it.
