This one is marked Merwin & Bray Firearms Co. NY. It is a Cup Primed front loading 30 caliber spur trigger 5 shot revolver with a 3 ½” barrel. It is nearly identical to the large frame Third Model Army Plant revolver. The mechanical function is very good crisp and tight. The bore is bright with strong rifling but does have several spots of corrosion. This is serial number 3089 of total of 20,000 and was made in or about 1865. This still shows most of the cylinder scene on the cylinder with the patent dates. The frame retains 20% of the silver plate.
