Description
This is a Now Model No. 3 38 centerfire 5 shot without the barrel rib and with a Birds Head grip. It is serial number 14255 and was made between 1878 and 1884. The mechanical function is very good crisp and tight with a very good bright and shiny bore with two tiny spots of corrosion. Only 12,500 were made without the barrel rib and a total of 25,000 were made. It retains over 92% original nickel finish with small amount at the muzzle that has flaked off.
