This is a first year production with matching SN 12535. It looks to be period style floral factory engraving with Mother Of Pearl grips. The bore is very good bright and shiny with strong rifling. The mechanical function is crisp and tight. It appears to have been left in the white. The fit with the MOP grips is excellent. This come with a factory letter stating it was part of a 25 gun shipment to M. W. Robinson Co. on May 23 1876. The engraving and M.O.P. grips would have been added by Robinson Co. This was a standard practice for this large distributor. All of the markings are sharp and crisp. Comes with a Factory Letter.
