This is a antique first year production 1894 30 WCF rifle with serial number 8240 and was made in 1894. It has a 26” round barrel that retains 65% blue and the receiver retains 65% on the left side and 60% or the right. The mechanical function is very good and tight and the bore is very good and bright with maybe just a tiny bit of frosting in the grooves. The crescent butt wood is fine with no cracks or chips but does show a few small dings and scratches. The wood stock scratches are probably from being carried in a rifle scabbard with the rear wood exposed. This is a very decent 1894 rifle that was carried on horseback and probably shot a few deer and maybe even an elk or bear.
