Back to Flintlock

Description

This is a very fine original flintlock made in 1841 by A. Waters, MILBURY, MS. The lock still retains 34% case colors and has a brass flash pan with fence. Lock is marked with Eagle Head over A. Waters over Milbury, Ms. over 1841. The barrel is marked US over JH for Joseph Harniss over P. The wood flat has two very nice cartouches, WAT for William Anderson Thornton 1840-1861 and JH for Joseph Harniss 1838-1862. The mechanical function is very good and the bore is very good with small amount of corrosion. The wood is very nice and all markings are sharp and crisp. The pictures show the condition very well.
