This one is marked on right side Ballard’s Patent Nov. 5, 1861 and the left side Ball & Williams, Worcester Mass. and Merwin & Bray Agt’s New York. The serial number is 11807 and is matching. The barrel at the muzzle is .80 flat to flat and at the rear it is .92” flat to flat. The caliber is 44 Extra Long rimfire with a 220 grain bullet and 28 grains of black powder. The mechanical function is very good crisp and tight. The bore is very good bright and shiny. The barrel retains 80% blue and the manual extractor is outside under the barrel and fore stock. The wood front and rear are very good condition.
