Back to Flintlock

Description

This was made by Simeon North Middletown, Connecticut 1817-1820. It is 54 caliber, smoothbore 9 1/16” barrel. It has a Hickory swelled tip ramrod with an iron ferrule on the other end. Someone polished all metal parts including the lock. The lock was case hardened and the other parts were to have been finished brown. That’s why the price is marked so low. The lock is stamped with S. Norths early MidilN Con early lock stamp. The cartouche on the wood flat is J. N. for John Newburry Armory Inspector 1818-1826. The left breech side is P over US.
