Description
This is a hinge up release to load and eject empty cartridges. The left side of the barrel is marked AL SPIRLET & Cie with a Crown over U and serial number 5514. Right side barrel is marked ACIER FONDU. The cylinder is marked Crown over U and the ELG with a star within the oval. The grips appear to be ebony and are in excellent condition. It has a 5 ¾” barrel and is about 10 5/8” overall. The mechanical function is very good crisp and tight. The bore is excellent bright and shiny. This revolver is finished in the white and was made between 1870 and 1875.
