Description
This is a very good Allen’s Patent marked on the hammer, 6 shot ribbed barrel 32 caliber with 1837 Patent date and a 4” barrel marked Allen & Thurber Worcester. This is serial number 406 and the grips are stamped 406 as well. This is a California Gold Rush era pepperbox pistol. The mechanical function is very good and tight. It still retains 30% blue in the protected areas. All of the markings are very good sharp and crisp and the engraving is very good. All of the screws and nipples are fine. This is a really nice condition Gold Rush era pepperbox pistol.
