Description
This is a 38 rimfire six shot with a 7 ½” octagon barrel and is serial number one of the First Type. The serial numbers are under the left grip panel, under the barrel and on the rear of the cylinder. The bore is very bright and shiny with strong rifling and the mechanical function is very good crisp and tight. Only about 20% fading blue remains. This was the perfect time for a cartridge revolver to appear on the market. Soldiers figured out that the quickest reload was another loaded gun and this one had six shots. Only 400 were made and this is serial number 1. This is the largest of the Bacon metallic cartridge hand guns made and was considered a Secondary Martial handgun by collectors. “OK FOR CANADA”
