RARE, DB Wesson with Letter

Description

This is one of the rare Wesson Fire Arms 12 gauge double hammer gun. The famous Gustave Young Shop engraved it. This is serial number 8 and it doesn’t have the barrel address. It has the Patent Dates on the water table. The Mechanical function is very good crisp and tight. The bores are very good bright and shiny and not a spec or rust or pitting. The checkering is very good and the butt stock is a very nice piece of stripped wood. The serial number 8 is under the thumb release stamped on the frame. The receiver, hammers, locks trigger guard and top tang are engraved. To save on weight the butt plate was skeletonized and the wood in the center of the place is nicely checkered. The receiver, hammers, trigger guard, top tang and bottom of the front wood still have blue 40-45% blue. The barrels have been rebrowned and there are no dents in the barrels. This is a very RARE item with only 219 being made. This comes with the original loading tools. These were made from 1868-1870, and also come with a copy of the patent information and a copy of the Descriptive Circular. 30” barrel length .720 and .713 with a LOP 14 1/8”. Wall thickness at the muzzle is .033 and .036.
