Description
This Joslyn is serial number 13715 and the mechanical function is very good crisp and tight. The bore is very good bright with strong rifling and only traces of any frosting. The barrel has a nice plum color and the lock has sharp crisp markings. There are two nice Inspector Cartouche stamps on the left above the saddle ring. I would rate this one as about fine condition. Among the many Union cavalry regiments issued the Joslyn were the 4th and 8th Indiana; 19th New York; 13th Tennessee; 9th Pennsylvania; 3rd West Virginia; 2nd Wisconsin; 1st Nebraska; 1st Nevada and 11th Ohio.
