Description

This is a reconverted 1817 U.S. Flintlock Rifle by Nathan Starr & Son with a 1841 Lock Date. The mechanical function is very good and tight. The bore is good with strong rifling and fine corrosion. It was the 1840 contract awarded to Nathan Starr & Son. This has 3-barrel bands and a 56 caliber rifled 36” barrel and a brass flash pan. The stock has the oval patch box. The barrel marked U.S. with EB below and a P in a circle under it. The wood not cracked or damaged, nice and solid rifle.
