Description
This is serial number 28230 and it locks up tight and functions fine except the extractor is broken the rear sight is missing. The bore is very good bright and shiny. The wood is solid and not cracked or damaged. The butt plate has rust. It has an 1873 dated lock plate and the barrels were not inspector marked till after serial number 50,000. This is not the correct cleaning rod. There is a name stamped on the top rear of the stock next to the butt plate. The stock has the short 9” comb also. This 1873 rifle just needs a few replacement parts.
