Description

This is a nice Allen & Wheelock Side hammer 32 rimfire with matching assembly number 593 and was made from 1859-1862. It retains 35% barrel blue with a 4” barrel and 35% blue on cylinder. This has a very nice rolled cylinder pattern of a standing Indian (Seal of Massachusetts) ship and other military trophy designs. The mechanical function is very good crisp and tight. The bore is very good bright and shiny with strong rifling. It has 20% blue on the right side under the hammer The grips are very fine with 80% varnish. These could have been carried by enlisted men during the Civil War. The quickest reload was another revolver. About 1000 were made.
