Description
This Colt Pocket is all matching serial numbers including the wedge. The serial number is 255600 and was made in early 1864 during the Civil War it could have been a private purchase.. Soldiers quickly discovered that the quickest reload was another gun and this had 6 shots. It retains 68% blue and 62% case colors. The grips have 95% varnish remaining. The safety pins are all intact. The cylinder retains 85% cylinder scene. The mechanical function is crisp and tight. The 4” barrel has a bright and shiny bore with strong rifling but does have some corrosion. All of the markings are sharp and crisp. Only a very small amount of silver is remaining on the trigger guard. This Colt is very fine plus condition.
