Description

This is a very neat Colt 1862 Police 36 caliber revolver. The butt is inscribed J. Curtis to E.A. Shiar. There were more than a few soldiers on both sides with same names listed in the Civil War Soldiers registry. This is all matching serial numbers 510 and was made in 1861. It still retains safety pins on the rear of the cylinder. The bore is very good bright and shiny and the mechanical function is very good crisp and tight. The barrel on the 36 caliber is a desirable 6 1/2”.
