This is serial number 6139 and is all matching numbers and was made in 1848, just in time for the 1848-1855 California Gold Rush when Gold was found at Sutter’s Mill. Over 300,000 people flocked to CA to get rick. This one is very good mechanical function and tight and the bore is very good with strong rifling. This is a nice example of a Rammerless Baby Dragoon made in 1848. There are 4 different types of Colts Patents on the cylinders.
