Description

This is a Colt Second Model Richards-Mason Conversion to 44 Colt centerfire. This has an 8” barrel and is serial number 6392 with matching numbers and was made 1877-1878. The mechanical function and index is very good and the bore has heavy frosting with strong rifling. The cylinder has 35-40% cylinder scene. Any remaining finish was stripped off so it is now a gray color. The grips are still original but has a left toe nick and the right grip has the bottom edge worn. This is a very neat old Indian Wars Period Conversion and should be a very good shooter.
