This one is serial number #273 and is matching numbers, frame and cylinder. The barrel was professionally shortened to 4 1/4” long ago. An interesting thing about some of the very early Old Model Army revolvers is that the caliber is 44 S&W American. This one is 44 S&W American. The mechanical function is very good crisp and tight and the bore is very good bright and shiny. The grips are not original to the gun because they are numbered 949. It retains about 52% blue and weights in at about 2.1 pounds.
