This is an all-original P. Webley & Son 450 BP Express Double Rifle with matching serial numbers. The serial number is 1216 and was made before 1888. The address is St. James’s London. The barrels retain 65% original brown color and the bores are very good bright and shiny with strong Alex Henry rifling. No pitting or corrosion. The wood is very good with nice checkering and a nice cheek piece on the butt stock. The mechanical function is very good, crisp and tight. Both safeties are very good and crisp functioning and the weight is 8.1 pounds. Both sights have whiteness marks on the sights and rib. The rear sights are 150 yard and 250 yard with platinum inlays and the barrels are 28” long. The LOP is 14 ½” to the front trigger, LOC is 1 7/16” and the LOH is 2 3/8”. This is fine and well made British hunting rifle.
