S&W #2 Army 32 Rimfire_Cased

75% Nickel Finish

Description

This is a very crisp and tight # 2 Army with serial number 38136 and probably made about 1866. It retains 75% original nickel finish with very crisp mechanical function. The bore is very good bright and shiny but does have several spots of corrosion. Matching numbers and the grips retain 95% varnish and are excellent. Interesting note the barrel and cylinder are marked * 5 meaning the pistol went back to the factory for some adjustment. The barrel hinge and frame are very tight and the key in the case will open and lock the case. Gen. George Armstrong Custer is known to have owned a pair of these revolvers.
