Description

This also know as the Second Model Allen Conversion with a 36 5/8” barrel. The lock is marked 1866 with the eagle head, has three-barrel bands and a 1864 lock date. The mechanical function is very good and the condition is about very good with strong rifling but does have some corrosion. This one is missing the cleaning rod. The metal is smooth and no corrosion with some plum brown on the barrel and the wood still has a light cartouche on the left side. There is a small crack in the wood behind the rear of the lock. It is a surface crack and does not go anywhere.
