Description
This is a London made Wheeler & Son Flintlock Blunderbuss with a spring-loaded folding bayonet. The lock is marked Wheeler & Son and the barrel is marked London, probably made between late 1790s to early 1800s. It has nice checkering on the wrist and has an engraved trigger guard and final. The ramrod has a worm on the end. The mechanical function is very good crisp and tight. The folding spring-loaded bayonet works just as it was intended. The bore is fine but does show some corrosion. All of the wood is solid, not chipped or cracked but only has some very minor storage dings.
