Description
The barrel retains over 50% brown and still has nice traces of case colors. The breech is marked Wm Jenks USN over RP over P over 1844. There are two stock Cartouches JP and JL. The butt plate two is stamped P, the bottom of the trigger guard has P and behind the trigger guard on the flat grip is stamped P. The loading lever is numbered #415. There are two stock Cartouches JP is John Pope and RP for Richard Paine or Richard Parker. The mechanical function is very good crisp and tight and the smooth bore is good to very good with only a small amount of corrosion.
