Berleur, Double Barrel Flintlock Fowler, 20 Gauge

Michael Berleur of Paris, France in 1750

Description

This was made by Michael Berleur, Paris, France in 1750. The barrels are maked Canon Tordu in Gold. It has a carved walnut stock with raised cheek piece. The locks have roller frizzon’s and both locks are marked Berleur. The mechanical function is very good crisp and tight. Both bores are very good with only a hint of frosting. I rate the condition at very good plus and the wood has only a few dings and minor storage marks. This is very nice for a flintlock made over 270 years ago and is nice enough to fire with proper loads.
