Description
These are a neat pair of Chance 65 caliber percussion dueling pistols. One pistol has been restocked and has a more course checkering on the grip. Both are very crisp mechanical function. Both are smoothbore with sights. The wood on both is very good. Both bores are very nice condition. Birmingham proof marks on both. Chance is a good British maker in London probably 1840s. One pistol has some remains of pinprick pitting on the barrel, could have been blood pitting after a duel. The barrels are 9.5” long and 16.5 overall. The ramrods are replacements but both pistols will shoot with proper loads. Needs a nice wood case for them.
