Description
This is a very nice condition engraved J.P. Clabrough & Bro’s 10-gauge double hammer gun with 30” Fine Twist barrels. It is engraved on the locks hammers top tang, lever release, bottom of the receiver, trigger guard, butt cap and a blank silver stock escutcheon on stock bottom. The front wood stock is nicely checkered and the stock wedge escutcheons are engraved. The rear wood is nicely checkered and the front and rear wood have not cracks or damage, only a few minor scratches. The serial number is 1423 a very early gun and has matching numbers about late 1870s. The mechanical function is very good crisp and tight and the bores are very good bright and shiny with only the smallest traces of very fine corrosion.
