Mass. Arms Co. Adams Patent 36 Cal. Revolver, Faint Cartouche

$3,395.00

Mechanical function is very good

Description

Less that 1000 of the 36 caliber where made, and about 600 were purchased by the U.S. Government. This one has a faint Cartouche. This is serial number 771 and no other markings other than the factory markings. It is possible this was a Virginia State Cartouche and a Confederate purchase. This is a 6” barrel 36 caliber D.A. percussion revolver and it still has original blue finish showing through the patina. The mechanical function is very good crisp, tight and the bore is bright but has corrosion with strong rifling. This is serial number is matching 771. These were made from 1857 to 1861. This is definitely a military accepted revolver either U.S. or Confederate.
