Remington Civil War New Model Army Revolver

Fine + Remington Civil War Revolver

This is a nice New Model Army with very crisp mechanical function and a very good bright and shiny bore with a few spots of minor pits. This is serial number 58893 and has matching numbers. It has about 56% darkened case colors and 55% plum with blue finish remaining. The left grip has a G.P. cartouche stamp for Giles Porter. The cylinder rear ratchet pad has 8893 and most all of the major parts have an inspector stamp on them. This one was shipped to the Government Feb. 1864. This is a very nice Fine Plus example of the Civil War New Model Army 44 caliber percussion revolver.
