This heavy barrel Schuetzen rifle was made by M. Bosshardt of Zurich. It has a hefty weight of 12 lbs. 13 oz and is 44 caliber with a recessed muzzle. The barrel measures 1 1/16” at the chamber end and has a slight taper to just under 1” at the muzzle end. The mechanical function is very good and it has a set target trigger. The bore is very good with strong rifling with a fairly rapid twist rate. and there is a globe front sight and a adjustable peep target sight at the rear. The ram rod tip is missing and the butt on the right side has a repair and the entire stock has a beautiful tiger strip pattern from the muzzle end to the Schuetzen butt plate.
